Miriam Cantor-Stone

Miriam Cantor-Stone creates and performs ceremonies and rituals of all varieties. In the process of getting to know people, from newborns and their families to nearlyweds to actively dying folks, she crafts celebrations of life’s meaningful moments, both big and small.

Historically, humanity has turned to religious institutions as both the spiritual and physical locations for these events. But if you do not belong to a religious organization or don’t feel drawn to a particular practice or want to combine beliefs, you still deserve someone to support you. Miriam wants to provide ceremonial and ritual opportunities outside of establishments and cultural norms. While she is ordained in order to legally perform weddings, she is by no means a minister or rabbi or anything like that. Miriam is a creative, approachable, and thoughtful person who loves collaborating with others and helping to share stories. She finds it elating and satisfying to assist people in navigating transitions of all sorts.

Miriam’s End of Life Services:

● My goal as a death doula is to assist actively dying people and their loved ones in figuring out how they would like to navigate the dying process, and then help them do it. Death is an integral part of all our lives, and I’m passionate about helping people talk about it with empathy, humor, and hope.

● Planning your own funeral is such a gift to your loved ones, even though considering one’s own death and afterlife is daunting. Or if your loved one didn’t have a chance to plan their funeral or you need assistance enacting the plan they created, I’m here to help.

● Meditation and reflection is for people who are not actively dying, but find themselves facing their mortality and are in need of support.

● Caregivers need care too, and mourners need guidance and comfort. These services are for people in need of backup while in the midst of supporting a loved one, or who are navigating life after loss.
