Hi there! My name is Joslin Dupuis. I am a loved and loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Clinical Social Worker, and Full Spectrum Doula. I live in Schenectady with my husband, our two beautiful children, two dogs, two cats, a tortoise, and a very beloved pet turkey. Our home and hearts are full of laughter, and the reminder that all living things deserve gentleness in both life and death.
My work as a death doula is an extension of the same call that first drew me to birth work: walking with others through life’s sacred thresholds. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and former palliative care social worker, I support individuals and families as they navigate the emotional, spiritual, and practical dimensions of dying, grief, and transformation.
I have a special focus on perinatal and pediatric loss, supporting parents who are carrying a terminal pregnancy, families preparing to say goodbye to a child, and those finding their footing again after unimaginable change. My work also extends to the world of animal companionship and veterinary social work, offering space for people to honor the sacred bonds they share with their pets.
My approach is rooted in presence, compassion, and practical support. I provide non-medical, in-person guidance and care coordination for families and caregivers, as well as opportunities for legacy projects, storytelling, and meaning-making. Whether tending to the smallest details or simply sitting in quiet company, I believe that every person and every life deserves to be witnessed, held, and honored until the very end.
My philosophy as both a social worker and a doula is simple: meet people where they are, with tenderness and truth. Together, we can make space for beauty, comfort, and connection, even in the midst of grief and loss.
